How is it possible to be a Viking today, you wonder?

Well, for example, you can do as I do and become a historical reanacter of Viking era. This means that sometimes I live as Vikings did, without electricity, plastic in tree houses and simple viking food.

I am a Viking who comes from another country but I have been living in Sweden for about 20 years and I have been into history recreatment for about 10 years. The Viking Age is such a mysterious era because we do not have much information of how exactly people of Scandinavia lived then. The sources we have are tombs, rune stones, Icelandic sagas and writings from, for example, English monks or Arab travelers and of course theories and statements made by archaeologists and historians. 

All this helps us to put together a puzzle that gives us a clearer picture of what we call today the Viking Age.
